Cafe Campesino only roasts organic, specialty grade Arabica coffee that grows under shaded canopies in coffee lands around the globe. This growing process, combined with rigorous quality standards from crop-to-cup, produces some of the world’s best tasting, highest quality coffee. Founded in Americus, Ga in 1998 after CEO Bill Harris traveled to Guatemala with Habitat for Humanity and built a house for a small coffee farmer who opened the group’s eyes to the cycle of poverty that traps most coffee farmers. Inspired, Bill founded Cafe Campesino and their importing group Cooperative Coffees, to buy and sell coffee by the “Golden Rule.” Today they maintain fair, direct, and transparent trade relationships that treat farmers with respect and dignity– the way we would all like to be treated.
